Aging research institute contains neuroscience research center, psychology research center, behavioral science and physical medicine and rehabilitation research center, which was established in honor of professor abas alavi in 2016 year. The research center was established with the suggestion of Dr Hasan Soleimanpour, former vice chancellor for research and technology school of medicine, Dr Mohammad Hosein Soumi, president of the University of Medical Science and Dr Seyed kazem Shakouri, head of the school of medicine. The aim of the aging research center is to improve general understanding of the aging process by using the capacity of national and international knowledge. Our vision in this research institute is reducing the problems of the elderly in the society. This goal can be achieved by benefiting from the medical, psychological and social principles associated with the elderly. Also the other goal is to providing new and advanced services for improving elderly function and use their abilities. Our mission is to promote the health and quality of life of the elderly by focusing on the physical, cognitive and social dimensions. This dream will become a reality with new knowledge produced and disseminated by tireless researchers. Efforts are being made to provide new educational and research opportunities for students and health care providers in this research institute.
